MEAL PLANNING APP FOR ONLINE WEEKLY MEAL PLANNING
Meal planning is quick and easy. Whether you plan for a week, a couple weeks, or a month at a time. It is so easy to plan your meals and generate your shopping list. You are able to place the recipes you’ve added into Plan To Eat into your weekly meal plan. You are also able to add ingredients and notes for your other meals that you don’t need a recipe for, but want to have in your plan and on your shopping list. There are three ways to populate your online meal planner template:
DRAG YOUR FAVORITE RECIPES INTO THE WEEKLY MEAL PLANNER
From the Plan section of Plan To Eat, you are able to quickly search your recipes and drag them into your weekly meal planner.
- Search Recipes in the left search bar.
- Click on the icon next to the recipe and drag to the day and meal you want to have this recipe.
ADD RECIPES TO THE PLANNER FROM THE RECIPE PAGE
While browsing recipes, look in the upper right hand corner of the screen of the recipe for the word Plan. You can click this and select the date you want to plan this recipe and it is added to your weekly planner.
ADD MEALS TO YOUR PLANNER THAT ARE NOT IN YOUR RECIPE PLANNER
We all have those go to quick and easy meal combinations that we don’t need a recipe for. You can add these to your meal planner by using the Ingredients or Note functionality in the online weekly meal plan template.
For ingredients you want to add to your planner and have on your shopping list – Add Ingredient, click in the weekly meal planner where you want to add the ingredient. A pop-up window displays with the option to Add Ingredient or Add Note. In the Add Ingredient box, enter the ingredient you want to add into your shopping list.
You might want to plan smoked sausage and perogies, but don’t necessarily need a recipe for this. By adding each ingredient individually, your shopping list will show both of these items.
For items you already have on hand and want to add to your meal planner, but don’t need to shop for – Add Note. You add this the same way. Click in the weekly meal planner where you want to add the note. A pop-up window displays with the option to Add Ingredient or Add Note. In the Add Note box, enter the note you want added to your meal plan.
REFERENCE YOUR MEAL PLANNER THROUGHOUT THE WEEK
You can access your meal plan on your computer or mobile device making it available anywhere you are. Share access with the entire family so they aren’t always asking what’s to eat! You can also print a copy and post in the kitchen for quick and easy reference at home.
MEAL PLANNING APP HAS AN ONLINE SHOPPING LIST GENERATOR
The most rewarding part of the process is automatically generating your shopping list!
SCAN THE LIST AND REMOVE THE ITEMS YOU ALREADY HAVE FROM YOUR SHOPPING LIST
All the ingredients from the recipes you planned in the online meal planner template will populate into your list. You will see multiple line items for ingredients used in more than one recipe. Also, you will see a letter next to each ingredient which corresponds with your planned recipes listed on the left. Scan through the list and remove the items you don’t need to purchase from the store.
ADD MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS AND STAPLES TO YOUR SHOPPING LIST
You are able to add more items such as milk, bread, eggs, etc. to your list by clicking Add Items. These items stay on your list week after week until you removed them. You can clear out the items every week before you meal plan or you can use the Add Ingredient option in the planner as explained earlier.
